Wicklow Mountains National Park: Dawn Chorus Walk, Sunday 7 May 2017

Drag yourself out of bed for a morning that you will really enjoy. Join WMNP on International Dawn Chorus Day for a guided walk. Listen to the birds. Learn their songs. Glendalough is home to one of Ireland’s newest species of breeding birds, the Great Spotted Woodpecker, and we hope to hear them drumming. Bring a flask for afterwards.

Where: Start at the National Park Information Office, near to the Upper Lake Car Park, Glendalough

When: Sunday 7 May at 5 am.

Duration: approx. 90 minutes.

Practicalities: This event is suitable for all ages. Please leave your dog at home. This event is free of charge but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow County Council) has a €4 charge for car parking.
