Nature Explorers at Wicklow Mountains National Park: Wednesday Afternoons in July & August
Date Released: Wednesday, July 13, 2016
Visit Wicklow Mountains National Park and learn how to identify and appreciate the natural world. Activities are aimed at children aged 5 to 11 years. This is an outdoor programme, and most activities will take place off track so participants are advised to dress accordingly.
Where: Meet at the large National Park sign in the corner of the Upper Lake Car Park, Glendalough.
When: 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesdays in July & August
Practicalities: Adults & children welcome. Please note that an adult must stay with their children, and be prepared to help! No dogs. This event is free of charge, but please be aware that the Upper Lake car park (Wicklow Co. Council) has a €4 charge.
Booking: Booking is essential. Sessions can fill up extremely quickly. In order to make it fair for all, bookings will be taken from 9 a.m. one week prior to each Nature Explorers day.

- 20 July, Wednesday, Nature Explorers: Squirrels (bookings will be taken from Wed 13 July).
- 27 July, Wednesday Nature Explorers: Trees (bookings will be taken from Wed 20 July).
- 3 August, Wednesday, Nature Explorers: Bugs (bookings will be taken from Wed 27 July).
- 10 August, Wednesday, Nature Explorers: Flowers (bookings will be taken from Wed 3 August).
- 17 August, Wednesday, Nature Explorers: Badgers (bookings will be taken from Wed 10 August).
- 24 August, Wednesday, Nature Explorers: Birds (bookings will be taken from Wed 17 August).
